His expertise covers corporate investigations, fraud and asset tracing, due diligence, anti-counterfeit and brand protection operations, crisis management, executive protection, travel risk management, political and security risk analysis, and operational resilience.

Prior to founding JARM in 2013, John served within the Kenya Defence Forces, holding appointments in military intelligence and technical operations. His military background continues to shape his disciplined, intelligence-driven approach to risk management.

Under his leadership, JARM has grown into a respected regional consultancy with operational capabilities across East, West, Central, and Southern Africa. John is widely recognized for his expertise in brand protection and anti-counterfeit enforcement across Africa, and is a trusted advisor on enterprise risk management, crisis preparedness, business continuity, and travel security.

He holds qualifications in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, Business Management, Electronics Engineering, and Computing.

Sheila Kamande is a security and risk management professional whose career spans the security, media, and humanitarian sectors. As Operations Director at John Andrews Risk Management, where she has been part of the team since its early years in 2015, she leads with a focus on strategic leadership and process optimisation, strengthening partner relationship management and key client relations across the business.

Before entering the security industry, Sheila built a career in mainstream media as a communications and broadcast professional. That experience sharpened her skills in crisis communication, public engagement, and storytelling — tools she now applies to leadership and risk management. She has produced and hosted a bi-weekly podcast, "Sicuro Conversations", exploring the intersection of investment and travel risk across Africa.

Sheila holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from United States International University, with a focus on public relations, marketing, and media studies.

She is the founder of Africa Inclusive, an organisation advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion for persons with disabilities, and has served on the boards of Africa Inclusive, Nairobi Waldorf School, and the Bryan Obuna Foundation.

Lonah Imali Ayodi is the Finance and Administration Manager at John Andrews Risk Management (JARM), and the quiet engine behind much of what keeps the company running. If JARM's consultants are out in the field solving problems for clients, Lonah is the one making sure the business behind them stays strong, organised, and financially sound.

Her journey with JARM began in 2019, when the company was smaller and every team member wore several hats. She started in administration, learning the rhythm of the business from the inside — from managing calendars and correspondence to supporting the CEO directly. That early exposure gave her a rare, whole-picture view of how the company operates.

As JARM grew, so did Lonah's role. She moved into finance in 2020 and has since become the person the leadership team turns to when it comes to the numbers, with a gift for turning high-pressure deadlines into calm, well-ordered processes.

Before JARM, she moved through roles in project support, client service, pensions administration, and insurance. Lonah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

Patriciah Wangui Gakonde is a Security Intelligence Analyst at John Andrews Risk Management (JARM), a leading African risk advisory, intelligence, investigations, and brand protection firm supporting multinational corporations, law firms, and private sector clients across complex operating environments.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Security Management, a foundation that has given her a strong grounding in the principles, frameworks, and operational realities that underpin the corporate security industry.

Prior to joining JARM, Patriciah undertook an operational attachment with a law enforcement agency, where she was exposed first-hand to real-world security threats and the operational tempo of frontline enforcement work — sharpening the analytical instincts that define her approach to intelligence work today.

At JARM, her role spans several critical functions within the firm's intelligence operations, including Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) support, end-to-end alert lifecycle management, brand protection and anti-counterfeit investigations, open-source intelligence gathering, and the preparation of analytical briefs. She is an emerging thought leader in the security intelligence space, sharing commentary on security, risk, and intelligence trends.

Samson Kipyator Kipchumba is a Security and Investigation Executive at John Andrews Risk Management (JARM), with over seven years of progressive experience in the security and risk management industry. He has built a strong career founded on professionalism, integrity, and operational excellence.

His career began as a Control Room Operator, where he developed hands-on expertise in CCTV monitoring, emergency response coordination, and security systems management. Through dedication and strong leadership, he advanced to Control Room Supervisor, taking responsibility for supervising security operations, managing teams, and coordinating incident response.

He currently specialises in security operations, investigations, brand protection, loss prevention, and risk management — conducting investigations into security incidents, supporting anti-counterfeit enforcement operations, coordinating with law enforcement and regulatory agencies, and preparing comprehensive investigation reports.

Throughout his career, Samson has remained committed to continuous learning, operational excellence, and delivering practical security solutions that safeguard people, assets, and organisational reputation.
